20-year-old Haley Small is an R&B-Pop singer/ songwriter / music addict with big talent and big dreams. Striving to make her mark in the music industry, she has been writing, performing, collaborating, recording and trying to expand her repertoire. Haley’s talent was first widely recognized at the tender age of 10 years old when she sang the national anthem at the Sky Domeduring a Blue Jay’s game.
Haley trained vocally in Classical Music for four years, and then went on to study Speech Level Singing with Falconer Abraham. Haley has also recently begun training at the Pro Actors Lab in Toronto to enhance her performance and natural acting ability. Her experience recording began at 12-years-old with Toronto's Juno Award Winning Jazz Producer/Writer/Pianist Eddie Bullen, then continued at EMI Publishing Studios at 14-years-old with Producer/DJ Freq Nasty, and then to various independent studios with different writers and producers in Los Angeles, Toronto and New York and Chicago. With a newly constructed home studio, Haley writes and engineers her own demos independently.

Wheelchair Jimmy isn't the only talent having us wanting to learn the Canadian national anthem. After I heard this cover by Haley Small I had to remind myself that it is originally Justin Bieber's. However once you hear this masterfully composed remix produced by Yuri Koller, you may catch yourself humming this version instead. Mr. Asante of Asante Film(who also has done videos for our previous feature, Erik Flowchild), directed this beautiful video that reminds me of early 2000's, 90's R&B, Soul music videos when the objective of a video was to gracefully give music a visual.
