Back in June of 2012, we shared with you the concept trailer of LA based film maker Justin Simien's "Dear White People" a satire about, "being a black face in a white place." The film takes place at a predominately white Ivy League school following the story of four African American students in post racial America.

Catching attention from CNN, The Washington Post and Huffington Post since the 2012 concept trailer release, the DWP team have been constantly working getting the film to a screen near you. There is still no set release date but, they are proud to say the script has been accepted and is now in stages of pre production. Dear White People was also designated the first IndieWire Project Of The Year.  With production under way, DWP has begun a "The Making Of" series and recently released the first part of the diary style series entitled "When the HELL is Dear White People Coming Out"

With the recent Paula Deen incident, the Dear White People team came up with a mini clip on a common reaction to her "apology" entitled "Dear Paula Deen..."

Make sure to stay tuned for what's to come next from the Dear White People Team
