When you think of the two words “Black Hippy,” what do you think of? Much can come to mind right? Consisting of rappers Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock, Ab-Soul, and Schoolboy Q signed to Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Records & Top Dawg Entertainment (LA based label) some like to say they are more speakers than rappers. When you break apart each member separately they all bring something special to the crew. Slowly making his transition into mainstream member Kendrick Lamar has been creating a bit of buzz lately with his features and talk about a new album being released and producing music for other rappers like J.Cole, he’s definitely one to watch. As well as fellow member Schoolboy Q who has definitely been on his grind. The whole group is definitely working on music collectively and a few mixtapes have been floating around, more of compilations of each artists songs from this year.
