We recently did an Urbane Sports post on Efe "The Distance" Odigie and him being drafted to James Hardens team for Nike's #SummerIsSerious pick up game in Brooklyn, New York. Well here's an update!
Team Harden lost by a mere 55-57 to Team Durant. Efe however was awarded the Team Harden MVP award putting up 20 points 12 rebounds and 3 blocks. He says that James Hardent even let him take control of the huddle at a few points during the game. Something memorable Harden said to Efe is "Stay in your element, let the game come to you and have fun out there". Participants in the #SummerIsSerious game received several exclusive Nike merchandise including custom made sneakers. As for Efe all he could say was "The summer was serious".
